24 May 2007 - Last bank holiday ferrabit..
Quick update on recent events and forthcoming arrangements:
Its been a busy few weeks, Radio One's Big Weekend came to town last weekend and the general consensus is it went very well. Supafly on the Friday at Hush featured Kid Blast, Miz Diz, Nathan Hitman Hearn and myself and all bases of good music being covered. Saturday I shared duties with Dave Belushi again at Hush and I brought things home over the last hour and a half. Great stuff, the place was heaving at various points during the night and seeing the place bouncing to racks like "think" by Lynn Collins will stick in my mind for a long time! Drink may have nearly got the better of me by the end, but to all of you who were there and applauding at 2.05 am: nice one, big ups.. Sunday Soul came back to the Adelphi for a special one off on Sunday, as Chris Da Mentalist, Miz Diz and me rounded off the weekend with a funk fuelled spectacular.
This weekend is nearly upon us, I'll be rounding things off 4-6am in the Green Room at the Nightvision Allnighter at 53 Degrees this Saturday/Sunday. Expect some mellow, atmospheric smooth shizzle, all cut up without too many jumps and clangs. We can hope anywyay
Word on the grapevine is the Sunday Soul Collective will soon be coming to a City near you this Summer, so keep checking back for info on here as and when it emerges.
Have a great weekend, take it easy..
Matt
