A while back I put together a mini mix called "A Break from Big Norm" and tagged it "Electro Hip-hop" (Still available via the mixtapes link). Similar sounding material that has been coming out is now brushed with the above moniker: "Wonk"
A long time cohort of mine, Laurent AKA K-Per has followed this kind of sound for several years, and more than once I've pumped him for tips on standout tracks
Lo has written about the genre, and in conjunction with this has assembled an awe-inspiring mix and cut up of music from the likes of Edit, Hudson Mohawke, Harmonic 313, Dabrye, Flying Lotus and others.
